Eurac Poole Teams Up With Allasso Recycling
It’s been 18 months in the making but Eurac Poole are very proud to announce their partnership with Allasso Recycling. Allasso Recycling are a fellow Dorset based company who specialise in producing road resurfacing materials from waste products. Allasso have a whole host of customers including local authorities, surfacing and civil engineering contractors and utility reinstatement companies, serving the Dorset community and beyond. Their site based less than 10 miles from Eurac has two bespoke mixing plants each with an impressive capability of producing up to 400 tonnes an hour of recycled products.
Allasso’s end products contain up to 96% recycled materials and they adopt a “nothing to landfill policy”. This combined with the company’s desire to reduce their carbon footprint by focusing on local suppliers and employment creates a perfect symbiotic relationship with Eurac.
The partnership has been officially implemented since the end of July and so far the process has saved a massive 2,877 tonnes of waste sand going to landfill, this will increase to approx. 12,000 tonnes annually from Eurac alone. There is notable cost saving by implementing this innovative recycling process but equally the environmental benefits are huge. With pressures building internally and externally to create a more circular economy by reducing waste, this new partnership shows Eurac’s dedication to improving the overall environmental impact of the foundry processes.
MAT Foundry Group, Eurac’s parent company, will be releasing the groups ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Report next month which will highlight the groups’ key aspirations in reducing the impact of their production activities on the wider environment, with waste being a major focus. This partnership demonstrates Eurac’s commitment to the wider group goals and striving to implement greener practices wherever possible.
